What is a CMDE?
A CMDE, or Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation, is a required assessment in Minnesota for determining a person’s eligibility and medical necessity for Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) services. It is the critical first step to accessing these services, which are for individuals under age 21 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related conditions.
